Position Summary
The Cooper lab at WashU is seeking a post-doctoral research fellow with a strong background in immunology and bioinformatics to work on projects related to understanding somatic variants in inborn errors of immunity.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Trains under the supervision of a faculty mentor including (but not limited to):
  • Independently design and perform experiments related to identification of somatic variants leading to inborn errors of immunity, with oversight from PI.
  • Write manuscripts describing the findings of your scientific research.
  • Accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Assist with writing grant applications for the laboratory, and submit training grant applications to support your work.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the laboratory.
  • Meet with Dr. Cooper regularly to review progress and for career development.

Working Conditions:
This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Salary Range:
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
