Associate Veterinarian - Irvine, CA

Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: 4-Day Workly (10-hour Shifts, Wed - Sat) - No On-Call Responsibilities
Settings: Hospital (In-patient)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join a thriving small animal practice in Irvine, California. This full-time opportunity offers a collaborative team environment, diverse caseload, advanced diagnostic resources, and strong professional growth opportunities while providing high-quality patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities

ยท Perform comprehensive physical examinations for companion animals.

ยท Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.

ยท Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

ยท Provide preventive healthcare services, including vaccinations, wellness exams, and client education.

ยท Interpret laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic tests.

ยท Perform routine surgical procedures and dental treatments.

ยท Educate pet owners on treatment options, preventive care, nutrition, and overall pet wellness.

ยท Collaborate effectively with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

ยท Utilize veterinary software and electronic medical records efficiently.

Education & Experience Required

ยท Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.

ยท Minimum of 1 year of experience in a animal general practice required.

ยท Experience in preventive medicine, diagnostics, routine surgery, and dentistry is highly desirable.

Licenses & Certifications Required:

ยท Active California Veterinary License in good standing, or eligibility to obtain licensure before employment.

ยท DEA registration (or ability to obtain, if required).

ยท Current compliance with all state and federal veterinary practice requirements.
