In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality emergency care to animals. Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of pets while assisting in various medical procedures and treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and a commitment to providing exceptional service to both animals and their owners.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
* Perform animal catheterization and maintain aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
* Monitor animal vital signs and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
* Provide basic nursing care, including wound care and administering injections.
* Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
* Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
* Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
* Handle dogs and other animals safely during examinations or treatments.
