Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will support a collaborative research project focused on developing a collagen reference library for Florida vertebrates and investigating collagen sequence variation in proboscideans across North America. Responsibilities include specimen sampling, laboratory analysis using ZooMS and related proteomic techniques, data analysis and management, collaboration with research partners, preparation of publications and presentations, and participation in a collaborative research visit to Texas A&M University.
Expected Salary:
$58,656.00
Required Qualifications:
A PhD in appropriate area.
Preferred:
  • Experience with proteomic, biomolecular, molecular, or related laboratory techniques
  • Record of scientific publication and presentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret scientific data.
  • A focus in vertebrate paleontology
