Position Summary

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper Crew Leader will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, and execution of the cleaning and clean-up activities at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and all other of its venues and any assigned spaces. Along with other custodial full-time and part-time staff and contractors, this person will work and oversee other housekeeping crew workers to complete assigned tasks.

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$25.00

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, as well as today's biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift.ย 

The Complex also includes the 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there's the White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, the ACC Hall of Champions, and the 3000-seat Odeon Theatre. Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations and coordinate assignments for the Housekeeping Team.
  • Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions.
  • Perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team.
  • Assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department.
  • Assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping task such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping, etc.
  • Report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations that cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience overseeing full-time and/or part-time staff.
  • Must have working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility.
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals.
  • Basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor-stripping procedures and working knowledge of cleaning timelines.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours, often including frequent nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • This position requires lifting heavy objects as needed.ย ย
