Job description

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to support evening and overnight security operations in Rifle, Colorado. This position is well suited for individuals who are dependable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment through proactive patrols, access management, and professional customer service.
Working independently for much of the shift, you will conduct routine inspections, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and accurately document daily activities while representing Citadel Security USA with professionalism and integrity.
Position Details
  • Location: Rifle, CO 81650
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Position: Unarmed Security Officer
  • Schedule: Friday to Monday | 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM
  • Pay: Up to $19.00 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities
Security Patrols & Facility Inspections
  • Perform scheduled foot and vehicle patrols throughout the assigned property.
  • Inspect entrances, exits, gates, fencing, windows, parking areas, and other designated locations.
  • Identify safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions requiring attention.
  • Maintain a consistent and visible presence to discourage unauthorized activity.
  • Help protect client property by remaining alert and observant throughout the shift.

Access Control & Surveillance
  • Verify identification and authorize entry according to established site procedures.
  • Register visitors and maintain accurate access records.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and electronic access control equipment.
  • Report suspicious behavior, unauthorized entry attempts, or policy violations immediately.
  • Follow all client post orders and operational guidelines.

Incident Response
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and other security-related events.
  • Evaluate situations using sound judgment and follow established response procedures.
  • Coordinate with supervisors or emergency personnel when additional assistance is required.
  • Secure affected areas until appropriate personnel arrive when necessary.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare complete and accurate daily activity reports.
  • Document incidents, observations, and irregular activities in a timely manner.
  • Utilize electronic reporting platforms, including TrackTik, Belfry, or similar systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling operational information and security documentation.

Professional Customer Service
  • Assist visitors, contractors, employees, and authorized personnel courteously.
  • Answer routine questions and provide directions when appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally during all interactions.
  • Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism, respect, and excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional security experience.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic computer knowledge and electronic report-writing skills.
  • Ability to remain calm while making sound decisions under pressure.
