Join us for the opportunity to grow and make a difference in ways that matter to you.

Role Summary

You'll join a team of experienced engineers working on systems that matter-technology that helps investment professionals make informed decisions and better understand risk. This is a chance to work on modern cloud-based platforms, influence technical direction, and contribute to products with direct impact on the investment process.

Our team is modernizing legacy platforms and building the next generation of cloud-enabled applications used by Risk Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Quants. These tools help investment professionals evaluate ideas, analyze portfolio risk, run simulations, assess proposed trades, and explore what-if scenarios. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to combine deep technical engineering with real business impact.

You'll work on technology that plays an important role in the investment process by helping stakeholders:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities
  • Understand portfolio and trade risk
  • Deliver risk insights and portfolio analysis
  • Support communication with internal teams and clients

Our core technology stack includes:

  • C# / .NET
  • PostgreSQL
  • React
  • AWS, including SNS/SQS, S3, Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB
  • Snowflake
  • Dagster

We're also increasingly using AI-enabled tools and capabilities to accelerate development and improve how we deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver scalable software solutions across applications, services, databases, and infrastructure
  • Develop and enhance backend services and cloud-native applications using modern object-oriented languages, microservices patterns, and AWS or similar cloud technologies
  • Take end-to-end ownership of applications and services, including development, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, identify risks, and help drive technical alignment
  • Make thoughtful engineering decisions, incorporating feedback and adjusting solutions based on outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business goals and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Apply modern engineering practices such as automated testing, code reviews, observability, CI/CD, and iterative delivery
  • Identify and reduce technical debt while improving application design, data flows, and engineering processes
  • Help ensure the consistency, reliability, and visibility of analytics and risk-related data across portfolio management and analytics platforms

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience building applications in object-oriented languages such as C#/.NET, Java, or similar
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions in AWS or a comparable cloud platform
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, backend application design, APIs, and data-intensive applications
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Experience contributing to technical design and architecture in a collaborative engineering environment
  • A strong commitment to engineering excellence, including automated testing, code reviews, observability, and continuous delivery
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business teams
  • Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs objectively, navigate differing viewpoints, and build consensus around sound solutions

Preferred:

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with React
  • Background in financial services
