What We Do
As one of the largest private markets investment firms globally, we provide innovative solutions to institutional and private wealth investors around the world, specializing in flexibility and full-spectrum access. • Working with investment team leadership and senior executives to establish and continually improve the firm's portfolio construction framework.
  • Conceptualizing and authoring research papers and presentations on topics of client interest utilizing Hamilton Lane's proprietary datasets.
  • Responding to client questions and producing analyses on the private markets industry.
  • Reviewing and summarizing third-party reports, news, and academic research related to private markets.
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising junior PMG analysts; leading firmwide training sessions on portfolio construction topics.
  • Enhancing and maintaining the firm's proprietary private markets datasets.
  • Partnering with the Technology Solutions team to enhance, develop, and test features and services for Hamilton Lane's financial technology offerings.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on data-related projects and initiatives.

Your background and skills will include:
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services, consulting, or data analytics. Experience with private markets or alternative assets preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to unstructured problems.
  • A solid understanding of quantitative financial concepts such as performance calculations, risk analysis, valuation, portfolio optimization, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and modeling financial data using Excel.
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Stata, Matlab, Python, VBA) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI) is a plus.
  • Experience leading small teams and training junior analysts.
  • Direct experience working with clients, senior executives, and stakeholders on complex topics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
