The Work
ย 
The Associate Director/Program Manager will be responsible for initiating and delivering strategic Program(s) for theย ย Bank in support of the Technology Portfolio. The Program Manager will be responsible for developing the Program organizational structure and governance processes along with the approaches and strategies that will deliver the Program's goals and objectives while driving value realization for the Bank. The Program Manager will follow Equitable Bank's delivery methodology, policies, procedures, and practices under the direction of Infrastructure & Operations Leadership team. The scope, timelines and deliverables of the Program will be directed by the dedicated Program Leaders and Program Sponsor.ย 
The Core Responsibilities!
  • Provide program management leadership andย expertiseย of large scale,ย highly complex, high profile and high-risk initiatives that may beย cross-departmentalย and/or enterprise wide.ย 

  • In collaboration with the Sponsor, Product Owner, Technology Delivery Lead, andย additionalย Stakeholders, define Program scope,ย objectives,ย approachย and deliverables that support the goals andย objectivesย of the Program.ย 

  • Plan and lead working sessions to structure program delivery into multiple work streams,ย identifyย dependencies, and align delivery through an overarching, integrated program schedule.ย 

  • Measure,ย controlย and actively manage the integrated Program schedule, including multiple project streams, teams, project plans, and major dependencies.ย ย ย 

  • Ensure completion of deliverables to Definition-of-Done, including respective approvals and acceptance.ย 

  • Define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for project stream leaders and other Program resources.ย ย 

  • Establish effective governance, planning and control processes for the Program and project streams, aligned to the Bank's Delivery Methodology.ย 

  • Prepare Program status updates to Project Sponsor, Steeringย Committeeย and other executive oversight bodies.ย ย 

  • Plan andย facilitateย Steering Committee meetingsย withย leads.ย 

  • Facilitateย meetings with Program stakeholders as part of working team governance.ย 

  • Consolidateย and manage vendor supplier work streams, dependencies, fees, and methodologies.ย 

  • Manage Project, Program and Executive decisions and Change Requests.ย 

  • Manage Program Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions (RAID).ย 

  • Manage, track and report on Program financialsย including tracking benefits and value realization.ย 

  • Develop and manage a Program communication plan.ย 

  • Coordinate and provide guidance to project streams and teams.ย 

  • Support Change Management and Readiness with stakeholders across the Bank.

Let's Talk About You!
  • At least 10 years' program and senior project management and delivery experience in Canadian Financial Services.ย 

  • Expert knowledge and experience ofย a wide variety ofย deliveryย methodologiesย with extensive background inย waterfallย and agileย at a minimum.ย 

  • Significant relevant experience working on programs in Infrastructure & Operations as well as Cyber security.ย 

  • Must have fundamental understanding of concepts in networking, cloudย computing, and Information Security.ย 

  • Experience working with and managing external vendors and suppliers for large, strategic programs.ย ย 

  • Demonstrated experience working with senior decision makersย -ย Vice President (CEO level would be an asset).ย 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsย with ability to lead/influence others to achieve goals.ย 

  • Ability to organize and coordinate senior resources with cross-functional skillsets as a holistic group with close collaboration and cooperation.ย 

  • Highly collaborative, withย strongย consulting skills and the drive to solve multifaceted problems with minimal supervision.ย 

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear,ย conciseย and professional manner.ย 

  • Change Management experience at a Project and Program level.ย 

Additionalย desirable skills include:ย 

  • Experience and understanding of regulations and operational support for Canadian Retail Banking Products and Servicesย 

  • Expertiseย with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA + Confluence)ย
