Porters will maintain the cleanliness of the branded location at all times. Responsibilities include sweeping all debris from the floor and ensuring the floor is dry and free of spills. Collecting all soiled cups and placed in the back of the house to be washed. Ensure all debris and trash (bottles, napkins, etc.) are collected and disposed of appropriately, and any biohazard spills are cleared and cleaned in a timely manner while observing health and branded location guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Anticipate and accommodate all team members and guests needs.
• Provide help, training, and support to all fellow team members.
• Possess general knowledge of all food/beverage menus and general information about the branded location.
• Possess general knowledge of all retail merchandise (where applicable).
• Complies with Department of Health standards.
• Complies with all Tao Group Hospitality safety codes and standards.
• Ensures the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the branded location.
• Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
• Proper removal and storage of garbage, dirty service ware, and linens.
• Ensures all walkways are swept, mopped, and clear of debris.
• Proper use of cleaning chemicals, soaps, and supplies is essential.
• Properly set up branded location’s sanitation areas, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:
• Stocks stations with prescribed supplies
• Performs opening side-work as prescribed
• Performs closing side-work as prescribed
• Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
• Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
• Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
• Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
• Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
• Tao Group Hospitality in-branded location porter training
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
• Basic understanding and ability to converse in English
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge, preferred
• 21+ years of age (nightlife/daylife requirements)
