Job description

LocationRichmond, VA; This position will follow a hybrid work-from-home/office model with at least three days in the office weeklyRole SummaryResponsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of regional-level projects supporting ONE's East and West Coast Port Operations Teams. Responsible for process improvement through data analytics, efficiency projects, and system enhancements as related to Port Operations. Focal point for port operation collaboration between ONE's internal departments (Port Operations, Strategic Planning, Marine Procurement, Vessel Operations, Rail, EQC, etc.) as well as with ONE's Marine related vendors (Terminals, Stevedores, Tugs, etc.) Additional Responsibilities
* Work as key support of ONE East and West Coast Port Operations Managers in areas of reefer, rail, intermodal operations, data management, and back-office support.
* Internal process review, refinement, streamlining, and standardization of processes and best practices.
* Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of regional-level projects supporting ONE's East and West Coast Port Operations Teams.
* Responsible for cross-functional integration of ONE's Port Operations, via collaboration between multiple departments. Implementation of data-driven solutions that promote efficient sharing and exchange of information.
* Act as a technical liaison between Port Operations, Strategic Planning, BPIT, vendors, and other stakeholders for cost management, savings, and cost mitigation.
* Develop and present Port Operations analytics, KPI, service quality measures, and briefing material for stakeholder use (including for senior leadership updates).
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
* Monitor marine vendors to maximize efficiency and service quality performance to ensure adherence to service standards.
* Central facilitator of ONE's Terminal Partnership and Success Programs responsible for data analytics and trend analysis Core Required Skills and Competencies
* Responsive, dependable, and strong ability to follow through in a fast-paced operational environment.
* Ability to observe, adapt, and tailor strategy as short and long-term operational trends may dictate.
* Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in conjunction with Port Managers to achieve ONE's strategies and initiatives.
* Decisive decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Strong detail-oriented analytical data skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate both verbally and digitally, and via various platforms.
