Description
Summary
Transport, both loaded and empty, containers to and from the Port of Houston and local warehouses.
Important Personal Skills
  • Able to work outside in variable weather conditions including high temperature summer months.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
  • 21 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and Level 4 background check.
  • Read, write and fluent in English.
  • Basic computer skills

Job Tasks
  • Drayage of full and empty containers between Plant, Port of Houston, local warehouses and/or Rail Terminals.
  • Collection and return of container chassis.
  • Collection and return of container from depots
  • Secure container on chassis
  • Install container chassis supports where required.
  • Monitor and report operational activities.
  • Daily check of Truck as per the checklist provided.
  • Check of

Qualification and Experience
  • At least 1-year verifiable experience as truck driver or graduation from an approved driving training program.
  • Must have Commercial Driving License (CDL A) for Heavy Vehicles.
  • Must be TWIC certified, or ability obtain within 30 days.
  • Ideally, experience with drayage in Houston area.
  • Only safe drivers with excellent MVR & PSP score will be considered
  • Container Chassis as per the checklist provided.
