Pool Route Technician

About Us

Founder's Pool Service is a growing residential pool service company serving Buckeye, Verrado, Litchfield Park, Goodyear, Avondale, Paradise Valley, and North Scottsdale. We're building a team of professional, reliable technicians who take pride in doing the job right.

Position Summary

We're looking for a dependable Pool Route Technician to service a dedicated residential route across the Valley. You'll be responsible for the full weekly service visit — cleaning, chemical balancing, and equipment checks — working independently to keep every pool on your route clean, safe, and properly balanced.

Responsibilities
  • Service an assigned residential route on a set weekly schedule
  • Skim, brush, vacuum, and net debris; empty skimmer and pump basket etc
  • Test and balance water chemistry with Spin Touch Disks using LSI (Langelier Saturation Index) to ensure proper chemical balance — not just chlorine/pH guesswork
  • Add chemicals as needed (chlorine, acid, soda ash, calcium, etc.) based on test results
  • Backwash/clean filters as needed and check filter pressure
  • Visually inspect pumps, filters, heaters, and other equipment; report issues or needed repairs
  • Log service visits, chemical readings, and any equipment concerns via mobile app/route software
  • Communicate professionally with customers on-site when needed
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized service vehicle
    • Pick up chemicals as needed from the supplier and ensure you have proper stock amounts
  • Complete all scheduled pool route stops in a timely manner while ensuring proper service to the customer
  • Follow all safety protocols for chemical handling and storage
Qualifications
  • Prior pool service/route experience strongly preferred; will train the right candidate
  • Working knowledge of pool chemistry and LSI-based balancing (or strong aptitude to learn quickly)
  • Comfortable using skimmer/route management software
  • Knowledge on filter cleanings and small repairs
    • Desire to learn and build on repair knowledge and skill
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required — daily driving of company vehicle)
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and complete a full route with minimal supervision
  • Physically able to lift/carry chemicals and equipment, and work outdoors in Arizona heat
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
Schedule
  • Full-time - 5 days a week
  • 6AM start (to beat the Arizona heat), daily hours vary on the routes
  • Weekly route schedule
