Custodians - Pool - JC
Job Description
The custodian will provide cleaning services for college facilities and ensure a clean, professional appearance of campus buildings is maintained at all times.
Job Duties
Work under the direction of immediate Supervisor and perform all duties as assigned.
โ€ข Perform all duties assigned in a timely manner.
โ€ข Accountable for all tools, equipment, and supplies issued.
โ€ข Perform all duties observing safety procedures and utilizing proper equipment (safety glasses, gloves, caution tape/tags, wet floor signs, etc.)
โ€ข Responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of campus facilities.
โ€ข Assist with the movement of equipment and furniture as well as setup and teardown for campus functions.
โ€ข Responsible for adhering to established procedures.
โ€ข Perform additional duties as assigned.
โ€ข Work with other personnel as assigned.
โ€ข Work on weekends, holidays, evening/nights, and all other hours as required.
โ€ข Must be able to climb on ladders, work in confined spaces, and complete other physically demanding duties.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) High School diploma or High School Equivalency. (M2) Active and valid Driver's
License, which must remain in good standing at all times while employed. (M3) custodial experience. (M4) Must be able to communicate effectively with college personnel at all levels
Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Computer Experience (D2) Experience using a floor machine, buffer or extractor.
(D3) 3 to 5 years of custodial experience.
