Job description

About the Role

This is a part-time, help-wanted role — extra hands on our route as we add new customers. You'll be trained  alongside our team, learn our system in a company-provided van, and set a part-time schedule that fits your life. No pool experience required, but always appreciated. We'll train you on everything, including water testing and chemical balancing. As we add more customers and routes, this role has real potential to grow into a full-time position and a potential career for the right fit.

What You'll Do

  • Show up on time, in uniform, and be a friendly, trustworthy face in someone's backyard every week.
  • Service residential pools on your assigned route days: skim, brush, vacuum, empty baskets, check equipment.
  • Test and balance water chemistry using the Orenda method — full training provided.
  • Log every visit in Skimmer, our route and customer system, so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Flag anything unusual — equipment issues, gate problems, anything off — to the team right away.

What We're Looking For

  • Trustworthy, reliable and on time
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record — you'll be driving a company van.
  • Able to lift and carry pool equipment (test kits, nets, vacuum hoses, etc.).
  • Preferred: Experience in pool cleaning, other home services, or hospitality.

The Details

  • Part-time, W-2 hourly position — taxes and paperwork handled properly, no surprises at tax time.
  • Pay: competitive hourly rate, in line with the Austin market with opportunity to grow through experience & certifications.
  • Company van and equipment provided — no truck or tools of your own required.
  • Schedule: flexible based on your life, set around route days — ideally mornings given the Texas heat.
  • Location: Central / West Austin neighborhoods of Northwest Hills, Tarrytown, Clarksville, Westlake, & Rollingwood.
  • Growth: potential to move into a full-time tech role as we add customers and routes.
  • Start: as soon as we find the right person.

Company Description

We started Blondie's on a simple idea: owning a pool should buy you leisure, not steal it. Too many pool services treat the job like a checkbox — show up, dump some chlorine, leave. We didn't think that was good enough for our own backyards, so we built the company we wished existed.

We're not a nameless corporate home services outfit, and we're not some fly-by-night guy in a truck either. We're a relationship-first brand — the kind of company that shows up on time, gets the chemistry right, and is genuinely fun to have around, every single week. Trust and excellent service aren't a tagline for us, they're the whole job.

We're two founders building this ourselves in Austin, and we're just getting started — which means everyone who joins now helps shape what "great" looks like here, not just execute on someone else's playbook.
