What does a pool cleaner do?

A pool cleaner is responsible for keeping residential or commercial pools clean and chemically balanced. Their duties include installing filters, removing debris, and checking pH and chlorine levels of the water. Replenishing pool cleaning supplies and performing preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce the risk of malfunction are also essential responsibilities of this position. To find a pool cleaner job, expand your search with similar job titles, such as pool technician, pool maintenance technician, swimming pool equipment repair technician, or pool attendant.

To thrive as a Pool Cleaner, you need knowledge of pool maintenance techniques, water chemistry, and routine cleaning procedures, often gained through on-the-job training or certification courses. Familiarity with pool cleaning tools, water testing kits, and chemical handling systems is essential for effective service. Attention to detail, reliability, and strong customer service skills help build trust with clients and ensure consistent results.
