The Role and Scope of Position

The University Ambassador is responsible for representing the institution to prospective students, parents, advisors, agents and community stakeholders while driving recruitment efforts to achieve enrollment goals. This role requires extensive travel, strong relationship-building skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the confidence to present to diverse student audiences. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic and demanding schedule.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory management and recruitment plans to meet enrollment objectives.
  • Represent the institution at college fairs, high school visits, community events, conferences, and recruitment programs.
  • Conduct engaging presentations for students, parents, educators, and counselors, both in-person and virtually.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, universities, advisors, counselors, and other referral sources.
  • Follow up with prospective students through phone calls, email, text, and virtual meetings to guide them through the admissions and enrollment process.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and prospective student interactions within the institution's CRM system.
  • Coordinate and participate in campus visit programs, information sessions, and recruitment events.
  • Collaborate with admissions, marketing, and academic departments to support recruitment initiatives and enrollment growth.
  • Monitor application pipelines and provide regular updates on recruitment activity and territory performance.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and professional ambassador for the institution at all times.

 Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage student audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage a complex and ever-changing schedule.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically.
