Job description

MaintenanceTechnician - Polynesian Hotel 

Job description: Asthe maintenance worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cosmeticappearance and the mechanical function of the resort buildings and grounds, inboth the interior and exterior of the property. The ideal candidate will haveexperience and knowledge in a wide range of hotel upkeeping. The technicianwill complete work orders assigned by the supervisor while following safetyregulations and respecting guests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to -

A        Follow allcompany safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenanceproblems/safety hazards

A        Performs maintenanceand repairs with a minimum of guest disturbance

A        Replacement of light fixtures, fixing drywall/ wallpaper, painting

A        Repairing of broken or leaking plumbing to avoidwater damage and restore full use of water fixtures; other light plumbing work asneeded

A        Working on damaged electrical wiring when ashortage or severed wire occurs, along with other light electrical work

A        Ability to diagnose HVAC matters, upkeep, andresolve simple matters

A        Appliance, furniture, and fixture repairs asneeded

A        Completesall work orders in a timely and detailed manner per company program standards

A        Execution of scheduled preventative maintenance

A        Maintainsall storage areas and work spaces in a clean, safe, and secure manner

Requirements -

A        Available to worka flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

A        Previous experience in a similar field

A        Able to work independently

A        Working knowledgeof basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, andreasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools
