Job Summary
The Director of Payroll will supervise the Shared Services payroll team in the coordination of central payroll processes. This role involves liaison with regional HR managers and company payroll administrators to troubleshoot relevant issues and overall responsibility for processing payroll for approximately 9,000 employees scheduled on a rotating weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis. In addition to supporting the day-to-day payroll issues, the Director will adopt a transformative mindset to help develop and execute a transformative roadmap to eliminate manual tasks, minimize errors and improve efficiencies. The Payroll Director will perform analytical procedures to proactively identify potential payroll and benefit issues and ensure that all processes are compliant with federal, state, and local agencies across multi-state regions in the US and Canada.
Job Location
This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our office in Atlanta, GA.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the payroll team, with responsibility for recruitment, training, and development.
  • Manage HRIS database; accountable for organization and integrity of integrated HR/Payroll data.
  • Audit and review all Corporate processed payrolls for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop, test and implement new specific pay policies and procedures ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Responsible for ad-hoc reporting: development, customization, uploads and downloads for periodic distribution.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date process procedures and controls.
  • Maintain and provide relevant SOX control documentation and procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or technical program.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of solid payroll administration and processing.
  • Knowledge of Workday payroll system is required.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Certified Payroll Professional certification.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll a plus.
