Job Description:

The Tanzu Division at Broadcom focuses on modern application development, management, and data intelligence, helping enterprises build and run cloud-native apps faster and more securely, with recent efforts emphasizing GenAI integration through tools like Tanzu Platform 10, Tanzu Data Intelligence, Bitnami, and Spring AI. This division is a key part of Broadcom's strategy, streamlining its cloud-native portfolio to deliver application delivery and AI innovation.

This is a senior software position on a small, high-impact team. You will be participating in research into tangible product features that deliver new value to our users. You'll work across the stack, ensuring that our systems are not only performant and scalable but also secure, observable, and built for long-term maintainability.

We're looking for both front-end and back-end engineers, while the ideal profile is full-stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the product managers and engineers in design and implementation of product enhancements and bug fixes

  • Analyze platform architecture and understand customer deployments to identify potential functional or performance issues and solutions to address those

  • Build and integrate with CI/CD pipelines

  • Troubleshoot complex issues in clusters, applications, and services

  • Improve the engineering tools and processes in the team

  • Work as part of a globally distributed engineering team in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5+ years of experience OR Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency in Go, Ruby, JavaScript, Java or C++ with the ability to quickly ramp up and contribute to a large polyglot codebase

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles with practical experience building and managing pipelines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to solving complex challenges

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, applying them effectively during collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, including writing unit tests, debugging, and participating in code reviews

  • (Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI coding assistants

  • Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure, including public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform), Kubernetes tooling (Helm), and observability stacks (Prometheus and Grafana)

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is$91,000 - $162,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
