In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the legal & compliance teams to ensure that our practices and business standards are aligned with the requirements set forth by territory regulators. You will have hands-on responsibilities conducting legal research on matters relevant to the Lotto.com platform including but not limited to legislation, regulations, policy, contract management, and intellectual property. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about conducting legal research as the baseline for expanding a tech start-up into new territories. What you’ll do?Conduct legal research; assist in developing guidelines, processes and procedures; assist in conducting and updating vendor due diligence for all new states we plan to launch inAssist in the preparation, review, negotiation and execution of a variety of contracts and other documentsReview agreements for consistency with standard provisions and escalate as necessaryAdvise and provide interpretation on compliance with laws and regulations for New State ExpansionRemain current on industry compliance regulations and policies and provide summarized updates to company stakeholdersGather documentation for transactional and litigation-related matters; Respond to third party requests for informationAccommodate with inbound and outbound support; including but not limited to banks, processors, customers, merchants and card networksSupport the management of our intellectual property portfolio; Manage our trademark applications, filings, and any IP-related litigations; Conduct trademark searches. What you need?Bachelor’s degree focused in Political Science, Pre-Law, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.
