To deliver on our mission of a highly reliable and secure bulk power system in the Western Interconnection, we are seeking a Campaign and Outreach Specialist to help us further our mission and achieve our business goals.


The Campaign and Outreach Specialist will support WECC’s stakeholder outreach, engagement, and relationship management efforts by identifying, organizing, and prioritizing key stakeholder groups across the Western Interconnection. This role will develop stakeholder engagement frameworks that help align organizational outreach efforts with stakeholder interests, influence and strategic priorities, and actively work on strategies and campaigns that connect the right stakeholders to the right initiatives.


Time spent traveling is expected to be a minimum of 5%-15% for this role, though business needs may require additional travel on occasion.


You will—
  • Identify, organize, and prioritize stakeholder groups to support targeted engagement and outreach strategies.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder segmentation frameworks, relationship maps, and engagement tracking tools.
  • Identify engagement gaps, relationship opportunities, and areas for increased organizational visibility and stakeholder connection.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder groups based on organizational objectives, industry influence, strategic value, and engagement needs.
  • Develop and coordinate targeted outreach and engagement campaigns designed to increase stakeholder awareness, collaboration, and participation.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to understand products, initiatives, and strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with the strategic outreach specialist to align stakeholder engagement strategies and outreach activities with organizational initiates, technical work efforts, and strategic goals.
  • Track stakeholder interactions, engagement activities, campaign effectiveness, and outreach metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Conduct research and analysis related to stakeholder priorities, industry trends, engagement opportunities, and external relationship strategies.
  • Develop reports, presentations, summaries, and briefing materials related to stakeholder engagement activities, campaigns, and strategic outreach initiatives.
Requirements:You will enjoy this role if you—
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public policy, political science, marketing, or an industry-related field.
  • Have four or more years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, outreach coordination, partnership support, campaign coordination, project management, marketing strategy, or related work.
  • Have experience supporting engagement initiatives or stakeholder programs.
  • Have experience working with stakeholder intelligence, and organizing and analyzing stakeholder, customer, member, or partner groups to support targeted engagement activities.
  • Understand the Western Interconnection ecosystem, how industry stakeholders all connect, and how stakeholders may also be segmented.
  • Possess excellent business writing and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear and concise instructions.
  • Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency using PCs, including a working knowledge of common applications such as those in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understand and adhere to sound principles of cybersecurity, including protecting sensitive information, using secure passwords, and following organizational cybersecurity protocols.

Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $69,400–$81,600 + discretionary pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will share more details during the hiring process.
