Position Overview
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Rhode Island College is seeking a dynamic and qualified educator for an adjunct faculty position in our department, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or general computer science.
Essential Duties
  • Teach a range of undergraduate courses in computer science, with possible specialization in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or related fields
  • Deliver instruction across multiple modalities: in-person, hybrid, and online formats
  • Develop and maintain course materials and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to computer science students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Maintain regular office hours for student support and consultation

Occasional Duties
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean, School of business.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
