Job Description:

The candidate will lead independent research related to galaxy evolution and/or star
formation, contribute to research being performed in the Chandar group, help mentor
graduate and undergraduate students, contribute to and help develop new grant
proposals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in Physics, Astronomy, or related field
Experience in the area of galaxy evolution and/or star formation in nearby galaxies
Experience in analysis of astronomical data
Experience with software for astronomical data reduction and Python programming language
