Emphasizes developing political literacy and connects government concepts to current events and active civic participation.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with high school government and civics curricula and common challenges such as understanding constitutional interpretation, distinguishing between political ideologies, and applying government concepts to current issues. Adapts instruction using Supreme Court case studies, current political event analysis, and simulation activities to support students from general civics through AP Government levels developing political understanding.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
