Description
The Civitas Institute at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions in the social sciences and public policy to begin in August 2026.
The Institute seeks to fill several tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor, to start in the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications are welcome from all relevant disciplines, including Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and relevant public policy fields in economics, law, education, energy, technology, housing, and finance.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree.

  1. a curriculum vitae;
  2. a cover letter, which addresses research agenda and teaching interests and competencies;
  3. a sample of scholarly writing within the last three years; and
  4. list of three academic references with contact information.
