The overall organization also provides foreign and domestic auto sales and service, and insurance and financial services.

The IT Support & Systems Specialist (Field POS & Network Technician) serves as a hands-on technical leader supporting daily operations across multiple restaurant locations, with a primary focus on POS systems, network infrastructure, and on-site technology. This role is critical to ensuring all systems operate reliably and efficiently, directly impacting the performance and uptime of each location.

Acting as the primary liaison between restaurant staff, operations leadership, and technical systems, this position provides responsive troubleshooting, system deployments, and ongoing maintenance within a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. The role requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the field.

Provide support for restaurant technology systems, including:

  • Manager workstations
  • IP phones
  • Network racks, switches, and routers
  • Printers and Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)
  • Other IoT and back-of-house devices

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain POS systems (NCR Aloha highly preferred; other platforms a plus)
  • Perform on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
  • Diagnose and resolve network, connectivity, hardware, and software issues
  • Run, test, and terminate network cabling; patch connections to switches and panels
  • Program, configure, test, and deploy POS menu changes across multiple systems
  • Support new store openings, equipment rollouts, and system upgrades
  • Respond to IT support requests from restaurant managers and staff in a professional and timely manner
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment with project timelines and scope of work
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, including operations, facilities, accounting, and marketing
  • Assist with IT projects, documentation, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Complete required training through company learning platforms
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule
  • Perform duties safely and in accordance with company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 2 - 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience (hospitality or retail environments strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting POS systems and network infrastructure
  • preferred experience with NCR Aloha, CompTIA Network+ / A+
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role with required travel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed based on project demands
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Valid driver’s license with a clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
