Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, professional nursing care in compliance with laws, regulations, physician orders, and facility policies.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate individualized resident care to promote the highest level of wellbeing.
  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate residents and families as needed, respond to emergencies, and uphold residentsโ€™ dignity, privacy, and rights at all times.
  • Maintain professionalism, participate in surveys/inspections, supervise and support nursing staff, and ensure timely, high-quality nursing interventions.
  • Report incidents, grievances, exposures, and suspected abuse, neglect, fraud, or system security breaches.
  • Safeguard confidential information, including protected health information and system access credentials, and follow all facility policies related to safety, documentation, and information security.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
  • An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
  • 2 yearsโ€™ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred.
  • Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
  • Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
  • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Display attention to detail.
  • Interact with residents, families, and the community in a professional manner.
  • Ability to engage in active listening, critical thinking, and active learning.
  • Exceptional judgment and active foresight.
