About the Role

The Physician Assistant will work alongside our podiatric physicians, providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and education for patients with a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, as well as supporting surgical and wound care services where appropriate.

Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Neuhaus Foot & Ankle, you will:

  • Conduct patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation
  • Develop and implement treatment plans under the supervision of a podiatric physician
  • Assist with wound care, including advanced dressings and minor procedures
  • Provide education to patients and families on foot and ankle health, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, medical assistants, and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Assist with surgical preparation, follow-up, and postoperative care as appropriate to your training and scope
  • Order and interpret imaging, labs, and other diagnostics as permitted by Tennessee law
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with best practices
Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Tennessee PA license, or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required
  • Prior experience in orthopedics, podiatry, or wound care preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
