Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic Class A CDL Driver to transport and set up mobile office units and containers for our customers, primarily during business hours Monday through Friday from our Modesto branch. You will represent Pacific Mobile to our customers daily as a professional focused on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Pay rate: $29 an hour DOE


Essential Functions:

  • Transport 20' and 40' storage containers to and from customer sites
  • Confirm delivery/pickup date and time with customer
  • Maintain delivery vehicle stock material levels
  • Load and unload containers using a chain or cable driven system
  • Complete and maintain daily paperwork as required by branch
  • Site checks for potential unit deliveries
  • Compliance with all DOT and state regulations
  • Notify supervisor when licenses and permits are approaching renewal date
  • Maintain professional appearance of vehicle
  • Notify supervisor when service or repairs are required
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload containers
  • Move, stack, and organize container in yard**Complete monthly container inventory**
  • Sweep and pressure wash containers
  • Complete basic repairs on containers
  • Shop and yard work as assigned by manager (including light building repairs, container repairs and servicing, and maintenance, shop and yard upkeep, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

 

Education: High school diploma; equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • Valid Class A CDL with a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Skills:

  • Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and regulatory compliance.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 25–50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Spend extended periods driving, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and performing physical labor.
  • Regularly climb ladders and access elevated work areas.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Operate commercial vehicles, forklifts, trailers, and other equipment safely.
  • Ability to work overtime and extended shifts as business needs require.
