Job Summary
This is a CONTINUOUS OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT for the University's Adjunct Instructor Pool. Tuskegee University seeks to maintain a pool of qualified and willing individuals to provide instruction to Tuskegee students. Individuals with experience and appropriate credentials in instructional areas offered at Tuskegee University are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be required to comply with internal academic policies and external accreditation agencies' standards/requirements to retain appointments.
Essential Job Duties
Adjuncts are hired part-time to augment the instructional needs that current faculty members are not available to meet. Qualified Instructors will be chosen from the Adjunct Instructor Pool to participate in additional application/selection processes as specific needs arise. Adjunct instructors may be employed to teach courses, make presentations, provide facilitation, or other service activities defined in the future at Tuskegee University as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An earned Master's degree in construction management or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) is required for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability for on-campus instruction for traditional course delivery

Qualifications (Desired)
  • Significant applied experience in U.S. construction management experience and/or professional experience working with a culturally and ethnically diverse community
  • Prior teaching experience (CCM certification, PMP certification, and or OSHA Authorized Trainer
  • Publication & professional experience
  • Experience with online instruction

Architecture Requirements: Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Architecture or Master's degree in Architecture or closely related field, and/or professional licensure
  • One (1) or more years of professional practice and college teaching experience in a NAAB-accredited program
  • Experience with integrated practice, community outreach, and/or collaborative learning
  • Demonstrated organizational and team-building skills, with the ability to foster productive relationships among students, faculty, alumni, local, and national professionals
