The Sr. Project Manager - Manufacturing PMO is responsible for leading the transition of new products from Engineering into Production, serving as the primary manufacturing and supply chain project management interface between Engineering and Operations. This role owns planning and execution of multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring manufacturing readiness, supplier alignment, and successful product launches.
Partnering closely with Design Engineering Project Managers, the Manufacturing PM develops integrated project plans that incorporate manufacturing strategy, supplier readiness, cost targets, and production risk mitigation early in the development lifecycle. The role works cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Contract Manufacturers, and internal manufacturing teams to coordinate builds, validate readiness, and execute production ramps and transfers.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position drives execution across internal and external organizations, proactively identifying risks, resolving schedule and resource conflicts, and holding teams accountable to deliverables. The Project Manager brings strong project management discipline, clear communication, and the ability to translate technical and supply chain complexity into actionable plans and concise stakeholder updates.
The position requires knowledge of project management methodologies, manufacturing NPI processes, and supply/demand requirements. It requires the ability to translate technical and supply chain complexity into clear, actionable plans and executive-level communication. The Project Manager plays a critical role in manufacturing execution supporting NPI delivery.
Strong knowledge of Project Management Processes, PMBOK, and project planning are essential. Strong computer skills in MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) are required.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control projects (identify/monitor risks, hold project status meetings with cross functional teams to monitor deliverables, resolve conflicts, manage priorities, resources, and issues, manage scope/changes, update project plans as necessary)
  • Create project plans for manufacturing process and support of NPI products (plan deliverables, create schedule baseline, manage dependencies)
  • Manage prototype builds in production, host product reviews with Engineering and Operations, assign and manage action items
  • Create procurement plans, manage custom designed part FAI approvals, identify and manage long lead parts to be ready for prototype and production builds.
  • Coordinate launch plans for internal direct launches at Orangeburg factory, direct launches or transfer of products to contract manufacturers, host Launch Readiness Reviews with all stakeholders.
  • Review product roadmaps with Engineering PMO and Product Management, identify product discontinuations, replacement products, work with supply chain to plan demand changes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 - 8 years experience in Project Management, ability to lead multiple large scale projects simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power BI skills
  • Strong Project Management process skills
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enterprise resource planning skills (SAP a plus)

Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($91,500 - $131,000) which consists of base salary (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual's offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
