Job description

Hiring Salary Range: $135,400 - $203,100

Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level.

The Impact you will make in this role:

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of all project controls, reporting methods and project health tracking tools to be utilized by project managers. Directly supervise professionals within the PMO Project Controls group and work across the Dairyland organization to ensure PMO and non PMO project management activities adhere to established processes and standards which results in successful project delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides direct oversight and leadership to the PMO Project Controls group and is responsible for their operating budget.
2. Facilitates the development of the annual capital budget and is responsible for accurate real time tracking of the same.
3. Acts as the business process owner (BPO) for project management activities with the organization's ERP system, which is currently D365.
4. Ensures that resources are managed to ensure the most effective and cost-efficient deployment to support high quality and predictable project delivery.
5. Provide oversite and support for contracted workforce, equipment and services engaged in PMO support. This includes working with the supply chain on contract negotiations and forming alliances with outside business partners.
6. Provides oversight for the format and content of project status and performance reports.
7. Monitors project performance against schedules, budgets, and established milestones. Partners with the Manager, PMO Project Execution as necessary to address gaps in project and portfolio performance
8. Provides coordination and acts as a resource to assist with non PMO, divisional projects.
9. Coordinates and monitors the professional development of PMO Controls staff to ensure competencies are developed in support of high-quality project management efforts.
10. Ensures governance, process descriptions, guidelines and procedures are maintained accurately.
11. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: BS degree with 8 or more years of progressive experience in project management, and project controls, preferably in a utility/industrial construction environment. Must have experience with PMI project management principles and process areas. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.


Skills:
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
Strong organizational, time, project and change management skills with proven ability to multi-task and manage complex projects
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Power BI, project scheduling and other related software systems. Experience with Microsoft D365 desired.
Excellent analytical thinking, investigative and problem-solving skills with the agility and flexibility to deal effectively with ambiguity and change
Strong business acumen and proven leadership ability
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Effective change agent, with the ability to challenge conventional thinking, approaches and methodologies to drive breakthrough results, with a process focused, continuous improvement mindset
General understanding of accounting principles
