Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician 
Fort Worth, TX | PRN | Acclaim Health / JPS Health Network 
Acclaim Health, in partnership with JPS Health Network, is seeking a passionate and skilled PM&R Physician to join our expanding rehabilitation medicine team on a PRN basis in Fort Worth, Texas. 

The PM&R Physician will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients while working collaboratively with rehabilitation therapists and other providers to improve functional outcomes and quality of life.

Job Summary: 

The Physician is responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations within the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. This position will also educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments; may also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's healthcare provider.  

Duties and Essential Job Functions: 

  • Provide inpatient consults and outpatient management of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, spinal cord, TBI, amputee, or other disabling conditions. 
  • Perform electrodiagnostic testing, including EMG, nerve conduction studies, and ultrasound/neuro-sonography. 
  • Create and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans. 
  • Oversee and coordinate therapies including PT, OT, and speech therapy. 
  • Manage spasticity and dystonia, including Botox injections (baclofen pump management optional). 
  • Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the PM&R program. 
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. 
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, goals, and the rehabilitation process. 
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure holistic, patient-centered care. 
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, and educational initiatives within the department. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize patient care. 
  • Reviews patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families. 
  • Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary. 
  • Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Health. 
  • Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient centered and patient valued behavior. 
  • Maintains a collaborative environment with other referring physicians, residents, clinical staff, and support staff to provide quality patient care. 
  • Supports academic, educational and research endeavors. 
  • Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process. 
  • Partners and communicates with acumen to build a positive brand and patient/customer experience for those who encounter JPS Health Network and Acclaim Health. This would include health network staff, vendors, outside partners, patients, stakeholders, and local community leaders. 
  • Serves as a resource to the community. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
