Job description

A leading multi-residential plumbing subcontractor is seeking a Design Technician experienced with drafting on multifamily and/or plumbing projects. The position creates detailed plumbing system drawings for fabrication or for the city plan check by supporting a Construction Engineer (CE). Communicates design issues and problems with the Design Engineer (DE) or CE. Competitive compensation offered commensurate with experience.


A leading multi-residential plumbing subcontractor is seeking a Design Technician experienced with drafting on multifamily and/or plumbing projects. The position creates detailed plumbing system drawings for fabrication or for the city plan check by supporting a Construction Engineer (CE). Communicates design issues and problems with the Design Engineer (DE) or CE.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce Coordination drawings for plumbing systems.
  • Drafting and designing of plumbing systems for multi-residential units, hotels, schools, etc.
  • Attend coordination meetings with Engineers, Plumbing Designers, and field personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned






Qualifications:

  • Must a minimum of 5 years experience assisting with design of plumbing systems for multiple family residential building using AutoCAD.
  • A self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Unified Plumbing Code, California Plumbing Code, uniform building codes, and ASPE standards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Dependable and responsible who can take direction and work with little supervision
  • Good communication and group collaboration skills
