Job Summary

The Plumbing Foreman provides senior-level technical leadership and field oversight for commercial plumbing service technicians. This position supports the Plumbing Service Manager and Plumbing Service Project Managers by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of plumbing service, repair, and small project work. The Foreman performs above the Journeyman level and serves as the primary technical resource for the field team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and on-site training to plumbing service technicians. Support the Plumbing Service Manager and Project Managers in executing service work and small projects safely, on schedule, and within labor targets. Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex plumbing service and repair issues. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with plumbing codes, company standards, and customer requirements. Assist in monitoring productivity and ensuring quoted work is completed within allotted labor hours. Support after-hours and emergency service response when required. Proactively identify potential warranty issues, rework, or customer credits and communicate concerns to management. Ensure technician compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and job hazard requirements. Assist in training and mentoring technicians to support skill development and succession planning. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional appearance. Act as the technical field liaison with dispatch during the Service Manager's absence. Provide technical input to estimating and project management teams as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or plumbing apprenticeship. 10+ years of commercial plumbing field experience, including service and repair work. Journeyman Plumber license required; Master Plumber license preferred where applicable. Strong working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and best practices. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring or leading technicians. Extensive safety knowledge and commitment to safe work practices. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills and ability to utilize service management systems. Ability to organize and plan daily responsibilities effectively.
