Responsible for servicing all plumbing throughout the property.
Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to...
Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, inspections and procedures on assigned plumbing systems, as documented and required.
  • Adjust, lay-out and plumb approved additions.
  • Read and follow drawings accurately in order to complete the assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist in training fellow employees.
  • Install, clean and repair water feeds and drain lines.
  • Assist in the training of fellow employees in the Plumbing trade.
  • Maintain spare parts par levels.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safekeeping of any storage area, control room, operations room or other identified area or frequented to complete the assigned duties and tasks.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:
21 years of age or above
Gaming property - Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is required. Five (5) years' experience in construction or commercial plumbing is required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have previous experience in installing and maintaining black iron, PVC, copper, stainless steel and cast iron pipe, brazing or soldering brass, copper pipe and other associated fittings, in operating a pipe threading machine, freeze kits, sweet jet and all hand tools used by Journeyman plumbers. Must have previous experience with both jetter and drain snakes and back flow devices. Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record - with two (2) or less moving violations within a 12-month period and no DUI or suspended license within the last 3 years.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work in external environments for at least 50% of the assigned shift. Safely lift and/or move up to seventy (70) pounds on occasions as well as walk and stand for extended periods of time in excess of 4 hours. Able to work in high places. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Exposed to hazardous chemicals. Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times. May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
