E.S. Systems,ย is a complete Mechanical Contractor, founded in 1978. We perform work in Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection. Our service technicians are kept up to date on the latest technology in heat pumps, boilers, roof top equipment, air conditioning and sprinkler systems and equipment. Due to current, as well as projected growth, we are seeking an experienced, well-rounded Service Technician, primarily focused on HVAC service and repair to join our Rochester based team.

Theย Service Technicianย will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for primarily residential and/or commercial HVAC clients but also plumbing and sprinkler systems, as required. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, follows safety standards, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Install as well as repair various problems with HVAC, sprinkler and plumbing systems. Fully complete work orders.
  • Perform routine maintenance on systems to ensure proper function.
  • Perform tests on back flow devices., fire pumps and sprinkler systems. Fully complete all necessary test paperwork.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Test systems for functionality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures on job sites.
  • Install sprinkler systems, plumbing components and HVAC systems. Fully complete all necessary installation paperwork.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and explaining system use.
  • Work closely with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Vocational or technical training in the field of HVAC systems preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in HVAC systems required, 3-5 years' experience in plumbing & sprinkler systems preferred,
  • Reliable transportation and a valid NYS drivers' license free from major infractions required.
  • 10- hour OSHA safety certificate required, 30-hour OSHA safety certificate and/or refrigerant certifications desirable
  • Ability to promote a team oriented attitude and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Ability to recognize safety hazards
  • Ability to use a tablet, and successfully complete written or computerized forms
