About Duke Raleigh Hospital, A Campus of Duke University Hospital

With 204-beds, it is the third largest of the four Duke Health hospitals and offers a comprehensive array of services, including cancer, cardiovascular, neuroscience, advanced gastrointestinal, and wound healing care.
Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, modifying, renovating and construction of plumbing distribution and fixtures steam distribution and heating. Performs all required inspections, testing, preventative maintenance and training or personnel.
Hours:
7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
Work Performed
Oversees all plumbing activity in the hospital facility and properties * Uses blueprints, sketches and drawings to renovate, construct, and install facilities and /or equipment * Inspects major piping systems and sub-systems regularly and performs preventative maintenance and repairs as required, in compliance with established standards and codes as related to renovation and construction work. * Operates, maintains and repairs such equipment as boilers, pipes, pipe fittings, and fixtures, air compressors, pumps, reducing stations, traps, valves and heaters, gas and oxygen lines in areas that are renovated or constructed. * Assists with operation and maintenance of ventilating and air conditioning systems of renovation and construction work Assists in general maintenance of buildings and grounds as directed

Prefer knowledge of Life Safety Codes, OSHA, JCAHO and all other local requirements.
