We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. This position ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local plumbing codes, safety regulations, company policies, project specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, leadership and organizational skills, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality plumbing installations on projects of varying size and complexity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, maintain, and service plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewer, gas, and vent systems.
  • Assemble and install plumbing according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Diagnose plumbing system issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, codes, schedules, and manuals.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate work activities with supervisors, project managers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding the scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all job sites.
  • Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Report job progress, delays, safety concerns, and issues to management promptly.
  • Provide professional customer service and represent the company in a consistently positive manner.
  • Company Equipment & Vehicle Care
    • Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
    • Report mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
    • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyman license as required by the State of Georgia or applicable local authority.
  • Minimum experience consistent with journeyman-level plumbing work.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and codes.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
  • Be a team player.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum four (4) years of residential and/or commercial plumbing construction experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and supervise apprentices.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing installation methods, construction practices, blueprint interpretation, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • OSHA 10 safety training or certification.
  • Backflow prevention experience or certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and job site environments.
