Job description

Build Your Career. Lead a Great Team. Grow With Apex Pros.

Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating and Air is a fast-growing home services company built around two things: delivering an exceptional customer experience and creating real opportunities for our team members.

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact on a growing organization. This is more than a management position—you will have the opportunity to lead a team, develop technicians, improve operations, drive department performance, and help shape the future of our plumbing department.

If you're an experienced plumbing leader who knows how to build a strong team, solve problems, hold people accountable, and deliver an exceptional customer experience, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do

As Plumbing Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day performance of the plumbing field team while helping Apex Pros continue to grow. You will serve as a leader, coach, problem-solver, and resource for our technicians and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and oversee the performance of the plumbing department and field team.
  • Ensure plumbing work is performed up to code standards.
  • Provide daily support to Plumbing Technicians through phone assistance, coaching, and on-site support.
  • Ensure technicians have the resources, training, tools, and direction needed to be successful.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Dispatch, Warehouse, Operations, and other departments to ensure customers receive timely and professional service.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and work toward effective, long-term resolutions.
  • Monitor department performance and establish goals designed to increase revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.
  • Forecast department performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop technicians through consistent feedback, encouragement, accountability, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching conversations with team members.
  • Plan and lead weekly technician meetings with engaging, relevant, and positive content.
  • Ensure safety expectations are consistently communicated and followed through coaching, meetings, and training.
  • Help develop and implement processes that improve installation quality, efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a positive team culture where employees understand and live the company's core values.
  • Recognize outstanding performance while addressing performance issues quickly and professionally.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve technician productivity, workmanship, communication, and overall customer experience.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent Apex Pros with a high level of professionalism in every interaction.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proven plumbing leader, not simply someone with a plumbing background. The ideal candidate understands what it takes to lead technicians, manage performance, communicate with customers, and build a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing management or leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing installation procedures, standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage department performance and achieve measurable goals.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive and motivating culture.
  • Experience conducting team meetings, training, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using computer software and technology necessary to manage department operations.
  • Commitment to continued education and professional development.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of field conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Benefits

What You'll Get at Apex Pros

We believe great leaders deserve the tools, support, and opportunity to succeed.

Apex Pros offers:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and proven ability.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to service, efficiency, and results.
  • Company-provided vehicle that can be taken home daily.
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance.
  • 401(k).
  • Paid Time Off.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Free haircuts from our in-house barber.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • A growing company with opportunities for career advancement.
  • The opportunity to build and lead a high-performing plumbing team.
Why Apex Pros?

At Apex Pros, we believe our people are the foundation of our success. We're growing quickly, and that creates opportunities for leaders who want to make an impact.

As our Plumbing Manager, your ideas, leadership, and experience will directly influence the performance of the department and the success of the people you lead.

If you're ready to take your plumbing leadership career to the next level and join a company that is serious about growth, teamwork, and customer service, apply today.

Pay Range: Negotiable based on experience and proven ability.
