Job description

Help Deliver the Kalahari Experience
At Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, we don't just create vacations-we craft unforgettable experiences. Home to America's Largest Indoor Waterparks, our African-inspired resorts offer world-class dining, luxurious spas, thrilling entertainment, and cutting-edge convention centers that redefine hospitality.
But we're more than a resort. As a family-owned company, our Promise is simple: Lead with Love. This means caring deeply for our guests, associates, and communities-treating people like family, giving back generously, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued.
Through our partnership with charity: water, we're also committed to bringing clean water to one million people in Africa.
Plumber
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Plumber. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing the building's plumbing systems. Systems range in size throughout the resort from large commercial systems to more residential style systems and also include heating/cooling systems (boilers, heat exchanger piping, etc.).
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll help ensure the resort's plumbing and mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently, creating a comfortable and reliable environment for guests and associates. Through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and collaboration with the Facilities team, you'll play a vital role in keeping resort operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
*** Position starting as early as September. ***
Pay Rate - $35 - $40/Hr.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems throughout the resort.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing equipment, piping, fixtures, water supply systems, drainage systems, and related mechanical components.
  • Maintain and repair heating and cooling water systems, including boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and associated piping.
  • Respond promptly to plumbing service requests and emergency repairs while minimizing disruption to guests and resort operations.
  • Install, replace, and repair plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential plumbing issues, leaks, equipment failures, and safety concerns before they become larger problems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation of completed repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and resort maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other resort departments to support daily operations and special projects.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while properly using and caring for tools, equipment, and materials.

What We're Looking For
  • We require that you have background, consisting of at least 3 years of plumbing experience in a hotel, resort, or tourism industry.
  • Trade school and/or related field certification is required.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and equipment required to assemble, disassemble, replace, clean, and repair.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

A Sampling of Our Benefits
Our team enjoys a comprehensive benefits package, including:
  • Career growth opportunities with promotion from within
  • 401(k) matching, paid time off, and holiday compensation
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for full-time associates
  • Employee appreciation events, discounts, and perks at all resorts
  • Education assistance programs to help advance your career
