Job description

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring a Journeyman Commercial Plumber and a Plumber Apprentice/Helper for the Canton, Mississippi area. This is for an ongoing commercial project working 6-day shifts (10 hours per day) from Monday through Saturday.


Commercial Journeyman Plumber pay rate: $32 - $33/hour depending on experience. A higher pay rate can be negotiated depending on experience.


Apprentice Plumber/Plumber Helper pay rate: $20 - $23/hour, depending on experience


Weekly pay by direct deposit.

No per diem is offered.


Job Duties:

  • Install, repair, or replace commercial water systems
  • Service plumbing fixtures and equipment
  • Provide job estimates
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings
  • Helpers will always assist and support Plumbers on the site.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation and functionality of plumbing systems
  • Inspect plumbing systems and identify any issues or potential problems
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance


Job Requirements:

  • Previous commercial plumbing experience - at least 2 years. Helpers with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Reliable transportation to get to the job site
  • Familiar with various plumbing tools and methods. Able to read a tape measure.
  • Physical stamina
  • Will need to have basic hand tools for the job and ALL PPE.
