Job description

Kitchen Fresh Foods is the Midwest leading manufacturer of freshly prepared sandwiches and related food products. We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and self-motivated individual to work in our maintenance department.

2-2-3 Twelve hour shifts 5pm - 5am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled repairs.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisors.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Involved in new line start-ups, new product or packaging testing process, and installations.
  • Partner with production line operators to meet production schedules, including troubleshooting. and identification of root cause issues and corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Demonstrate a leadership position within the company to assist and teach operators basic preventative maintenance procedures and adjustments to settings to improve efficiency.
  • Assist production line team during equipment tear down, sanitation and reassembly process to ensure proper execution of procedures and minimization of downtime or changeover process time.
