Job description

This client is a robotics, life sciences, and automation consultancy firm located in Wilmington, MA. They are looking for a mid-level Industrial Electrical Engineer focused on PLC/HMI programming, panel design, and automated test systems. This job is full-time and onsite 2 or 3 days per week.
This role offers ownership across the electrical design lifecycle. You will be building systems from schematic design through panel layout, wiring, testing, and field debugging. This opportunity is very hands-on, and you will work directly with control systems, motion hardware, and test fixtures while helping define how machines perform in a real production environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related
  • Experience in industrial automation or equipment development
  • Strong knowledge of controls (servo, stepper, BLDC drives, encoders, motion controllers, and closed-loop tuning)
  • Proven experience with PCB design for custom electronics, including powers supplies and signal conditioning
  • Familiarity with ECO / PLM workflows
  • Experience with embedded systems and firmware development in C/C++ for support
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to be creative
  • Very detail orientated and methodical when debugging systems and solving problems at the electrical and controls level
  • Proficiency with electrical design tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks)
  • Scripting or automation experience with python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB
