Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and leading maintenance technicians in the inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies while maintaining efficient plant or facility operations. Experience with converting, printing, and extruding equipment and various other ancillary equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Emphasis on good analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical problems; repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, maintaining parts and supplies inventories. This position will be responsible to support the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment. Including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
  • Assign work orders and monitor task completion.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs.
  • Ensure machinery, systems, and facilities operate efficiently and safely.
  • Manage maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate with production, operations, and external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting and controlling maintenance costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and equipment upgrades.
  • Manage apprenticeship program, intern duties and development.

  • 3-7 years of maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of workplace safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
