Job Summary:
ICONMA is an IT Services and Consulting company seeking a Senior SDET Automation Engineer for their McLean, VA location. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, executing various testing types, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development process.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and TypeScript
• Execute end-to-end (E2E), functional, and integration testing across frontend and backend systems
• Develop and run automated test scripts for UI and API validation
• Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven)
• Perform backend and database validation using SQL (DB2, PostgreSQL)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure quality across all delivery stages
• Validate that software meets acceptance criteria and business requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6-10 years of experience as a Senior SDET/Automation Engineer
• Strong expertise in Playwright, Java, Selenium, TypeScript, REST Assured
• CI/CD exposure (Jenkins/Maven)
• Hands-on experience with Playwright
• API automation experience
• SQL/database validation experience
• Experience in financial services or mortgage domain is preferred
• Test Automation & Tools: Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript, Java, Cucumber, REST Assured, Maven, Jenkins
• Frontend testing experience with React, Angular
• Backend testing experience
• SQL knowledge: DB2, PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of automation testing and test methodologies
• Hands-on experience working in Agile environments
• Experience building scalable automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Exposure to full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• 6+ years of experience
Preferred:
• Experience in financial services or mortgage domain
