Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Web & Automation Engineer to join their team. The Quality Assurance Web & Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of new features as well as improvement of existing functionality across internal and external Web applications. This includes Integration testing, Customer Data Quality testing, Usability (Functional and Performance) testing, Regression testing, etc. 

This is a hands-on testing position which requires deep knowledge and understanding of all aspects of creating test cases and executing Front-end as well as Back-end validation. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Exceptional Manual testing as well as Automated testing skills are required 

As a motivated and self-driven member of the Technology organization, the Quality Assurance Web & Automation Engineer will be responsible for assuring consistent, high quality testing standards are utilized on all products and systems within the portfolio. The Test Engineer will interface with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Developers, End Users and Scrum Masters to deliver products with high quality and on schedule. This position is heavily focused on automation. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, design, and architecture documents to create effective, value-add test cases. 
  • Identify issues in data, application configurations and screen designs, report and oversee issue resolution.  
  • Plan and execute Manual, Functional, and Regression test suite. 
  • Develop, execute, and maintain Automated Regression suite.  
  • Independently develop, modify, and execute test plans based on requirements and design documents.  
  • Identify, report and track defects and User Experience issues through a system of record. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams on root cause analysis.  
  • Maintain close interaction with business and technical peers during the project life cycle.  
  • Ensuring proper traceability from requirements to test artifacts. 
  • Actively participate in requirements and code reviews. 
  • Actively participate and drive improvements in Agile Scrum delivery.  
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and testing approaches. 
  • Creation and input of test data, either manually or by using tools, programs, or masked production data to execute test cases.  

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area. 
  • Strong hands-on experience in Planning and Manual test execution. 
  • Strong hands-on experience in Regression Test Strategies, Regression suite maintenance and execution. 
  • Hands-on experience with Automated Testing tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, UFT etc... 
  • Strong hands-on experience using SQL queries for results validation and data mining. 
  • Experience in API testing as part of backend validation 
  • At least8 years of professional experience on a variety of projects in Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution analysis & reporting. 
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, ALM, TFS/ADO or similar systems of record. 
  • Deep understanding of Development and Test cycles, including respective best practices.  
  • Strong hands-on experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.   
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes and support development team in development of resolutions.  
  • Experience in Mobile Testing is a strong plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following languages (Python, JS, PowerShell, etc.).  
  • Strong communication and Client/Business interfacing and interpersonal skills are a must. 
  • Verifiable experience developing and maintaining a C# Test automation framework.  
  • Verifiable experience developing and maintaining a Selenium test framework that integrates with C#. 
  • Experience using AI for QA & testing use cases such as but not limited to - writing test cases, test data, debugging/troubleshooting, automation, etc. Advanced experience below a strong plus: 
    • Experience using Microsoft Playwright library and framework. 
    • Proficiency in Prompt Engineering and working with LLMs. 
    • Framework architecture, test migration from one framework to another. 
    • Integration of MCP and agentic testing using Microsoft Playwright. 

Salary/Rate: $65-$75/HR (depends on experience level) plus benefits. This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
