Senior Automation Engineer (Web & Mobile)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer to design and implement a scalable automation framework for web and native mobile applications. This role will support automation strategy, build the framework from scratch, and train QA engineers to adopt automation best practices.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with modern automation tools, CI/CD integration, and the ability to mentor teams transitioning from manual testing to automation.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Development

·         7+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering.

·         5+ years of experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory).

·         Strong experience using BrowserStack for cross-browser and mobile testing (mandatory).

·         Design and implement a scalable automation framework from scratch for both web and native mobile applications.

·         Establish coding standards, reusable components, and best practices for automation.

·         Implement maintainable architecture patterns such as Page Object Model / Screen Object Model.

·         Ensure automation frameworks are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain.

·         Web Automation

·         Develop automated UI tests using Playwright.

·         Implement cross-browser testing and stable test execution strategies.

·         Ensure automation coverage for critical regression and end-to-end scenarios.

·         Mobile Automation

·         Build automation for native iOS and Android apps using tools such as Appium or similar frameworks.

·         Integrate tests with device cloud platforms like BrowserStack.

·         Manage testing across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.

·         CI/CD Integration (Nice to have)

·         Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).

·         Ensure automated tests run on pull requests, nightly builds, and release pipelines.

·         Maintain test stability and minimize flaky tests.
