Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of our software products. The role includes both manual and automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, validating product functionality, and working closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong, and passionate about improving software quality through automation, testing best practices, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
  • Build and improve automation frameworks for functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
  • Work closely with product owners and developers to understand requirements and define test coverage.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate new features, bug fixes, and production releases.
  • Identify, document, and track defects in Jira.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar platforms.
  • Support regression testing and release validation for production deployments.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Analyze test results, investigate failures, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and automation efficiency.
  • Ensure critical business flows are properly tested, including onboarding, payments, transactions, settlements, reporting, and user access flows.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with test automation.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
  • Experience testing REST APIs and backend services.
  • Good understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, regression testing, and defect management.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity, or similar.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing fintech, payment, banking, POS, merchant onboarding, wallet, or transaction processing systems.
  • Experience with performance, load, or security testing.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data in databases.
  • Experience with mobile testing for iOS and Android applications.
  • Understanding of payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, fraud monitoring, or compliance workflows.
  • Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, microservices, and distributed systems.


Technical Skills

  • Test Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar
  • API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Programming/Scripting: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar
